Inspired by chaos of her hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Andreia Chaves burst onto the scene with her iconic Invisible Shoe in 2010. Using advanced 3D printing technology, Chaves is able to create intricate geometric sculptures that showcase the foot in a truly unique way. Due to overwhelming demand (and sheer awesomeness), we are ecstatic to be able to offer the Invisible Shoe and the Naked Shoe! A graduate of the Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence, Italy, Andreia brings a sense of movement to static objects. With influences such as Maison Martin Margiela, Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake, Chaves clearly enjoys challenging common perceptions of fashion and art. "Being in daily contact with different realities and exposed to thousands of visual inputs all the time, you can understand the why of my research of textures, particular forms, and visual effect, as the use of unusual materials." We can't wait to see more from this up-and-coming designer!
