A symbol of subculture for over 50 years, Dr. Martens have long been purveyors of grunge, rock n roll and youth in revolt. This classic 1460 boot, lovingly referred to as the 8 EYE BOOT, conjures up images of Pete Townshend lighting fires onstage with The Who and the working class clawing their way towards the American dream. The 1460, commonly called the 8 eye, has famously been made the same way for 50 years. Original Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole. Sewn together, not merely glued, with a Z welt-stitch and heat-sealing process. Fits true to size. Size US8 (EU 39) insole measures at 9 7/8" inches or 25.5cm. Each half size is 1/4 inch or 1/2cm difference.

Comfy, durable, and stylish!
I got the Pewter Metallic Nappa boots. I normally wear a 9.5, but the size US 10 fits perfectly! The boots have a lovely metallic sheen that is not over-the-top, but still quite bold and it is still definitely a statement piece. Not mirror-like like the Pewter Koram boots. The leather is very soft, and these boots did not need breaking-in at all! I love wearing these boots with thigh-high knit stockings, a feminine skirt, and a cute oversized crop tee. They go with any color too! I own another pair of Dr. Martens (Triumph 1914 Floral Boot, Brown) that I have worn almost every single day for more than a year now. I wear them for work and for play. Super-duper comfortable and they are still holding strong! The sole is starting to smooth out a bit, but the leather is still gorgeous and in fact my boots are only getting better with age! I'm sure I can get at least a few more years out of these babies, though they are already my longest-lasting shoes yet! (And my most frequently worn.) I'm sure my silver boots should wear the same way, as the soles are pretty much identical. I'm just worried about wearing away the silver finish, but maybe a distressed look will add to its coolness. :) Just rock 'em with confidence, you can't go wrong!Nyla Riley
Peculiarly Pretty
These boots have an abstract cuteness to them. I do lo love the fact that the pink is very settle opposed to the typical girly pink. The first few wears are VERY painful but worth it.Caro

Classic staple item from Dr. Martens. Fits true to size with easy walk-height; slightly wide if anything. Will require a bit of breaking in, but then they'll be the best shoes you've ever had. Purple was more of a dusty purple, which was quite unusual. Almost like beet juice.
