I love this shoe, very easy to walk in - although bear in mind the wedge under the heel is very thin. Super comfy to stay in for ages and make your legs look delicious. the strap can be a little bit loose around the heel but hey at least they don't need any breaking in! received compliments from many people each time i've worn them, good purchase :)

I got these a half size bigger than I normally wear, and I'm so glad for it. The width fits comfortably and after I adjusted the strap, the entire shoe fits great. Walked all day in these and had no problems.

I had a very hard time sending this shoe back, but I knew it just wasn't going to fit and be wearable no matter what size I tried. The problem was in the foot width, and fabric just ain't gonna give. Please let this be the dream shoe for someone else!

I got these in yellow. I wear (and bought) a 6.5, and these are true to size. Maybe a leeedle narrow around the toes, but not enough to hurt your feet. These are very easy to walk in, and comfortable. They feel very stable, and you could do a fair bit of walking in these if you're used to heels. However, like the previous reviewer Stella said, it is a little loose at the back. I don't think this is to do with the holes along the strap though, but more like the angle of the strap. For me, the strap rests at the point on my achilles tendon that flexes the most when I walk, so it tends to slide around. Nothing major to complain about though. These really do make your feet look super dainty! They look so vintage and cute.

Most reviewers say that the Mariels are comfortable. I agree that there's a problem with sizes, but do speak to a customer service rep and they should be able to advice you on sizes, like what I did. I had a previous model of the Mariel from another website and they were crazy small although they were supposed to be the same size! I found the gingham ones to be a little wider on the front, however my little toes peeped out and wasn't tucked inside the straps, but they were not horribly painful. I also wished there were extra holes for the buckle because I had to use the smallest one, and it was still slightly loose! the gingham is certainly gorgeous though, attention grabbing and made my feet look so dainty and that gingham covered platform is a killer! I will keep wearing em' till I get the hang of it :) thanks solestruck for the great service!
