This boot is freaking awesome! True to its photo, the cutouts are so unique and unusual. It fits true to size, and the leather in the black color is slightly distressed. These boots are easy to walk in (duh) and a great break from platforms. I'm used to having zippers on the inside, so having to unlace these shoes to get them on is a little inconvenient (or I'm just really spoiled). I have to unlace them quite a bit for fear that I might rip the shoe if I pull on it too hard or snag my foot on one of the slashes. I haven't worn these with socks yet. I do like that there's "built-in" air conditioning to the shoe. Just be careful where you walk; you'll definitely feel a rock in your shoe. Otherwise, fabulous and versatile! Get them!

I ordered the grey leather and was impressed with the color and quality of leather. It is a lighter distressed almost color. They seemed a little snug in my normal size,but I loosened the laces and it gave me a little extra toe room. I wouldn't be able to wear sox with them if I wanted that look. I didn't get a pair that smelled like paint like the other reviewer (but have had that happen before with other shoes). The leather is soft and almost worn. I left the top unlaced and wrapped the laces around the ankle and they look super cool. I was impressed with the quality of the leather and love the "wood grain" sole. Great for the price but you may want to order up 1/2 or whole size. I guess that is what free exchanges are for?? Love Solestruck!! Got the shoes fast with such great folks in Customer service!!! I don't think I would call this a "Jeffery Campbell Original", but it's great if you want a knock off of the Ksubi Dusty! Half the price of the original + same look = mine soon....

I bought this shoe from a different website and I feel like I should warn people about it. Runs small. I usually wear 7.5 in JC shoes and even the 8 was too small. Also the grey color is weird and they smelled like paint. the leather was stiff and fits oddly. just dont do it would be my recommendation
