These shoes were my first pair of JC's so I had no idea what to expect. When they arrived in the mail, I was so excited. I quickly tore open the packaging and was in complete awe at the sight of the shoes. They looked better than in the photo. The leather is so soft. When I tried them on, I instantly felt comfort. They were the most comfortable pair of boots I had ever worn! I didn't take them off for the whole day. I even wore them out that night! Got so many compliments on them, and my best friend was so jealous of them. The only problem is they are suited to wide legs and I have big feet but skinny legs so they are a bit loose. But other than that, they are amazing! I will never go back to buying cheap shoes again because now I know what the difference in price means... COMFORT (and style)!

I got a size 11 which s a half size bigger that what I normally wear, because I wanted to make sure that they fit. I thought these boots were too awesome to come and end up too small. But when I tried them on they are still too snug, Too bad for me the sizes don't come any bigger. If you have a small narrow foot the actual size of shoe you wear might work for this boot, but if your foot is a little on the wide side..you might want to go a size bigger..of two.. Yes the book runs that small in the the toe area.

Love everything about this shoe. I thought they felt true to size if a little narrow in the toe like 99's and some other JC styles, but the third time I wore them out for five hours I developed a huge blister over the width of my little toe! They pinched very little. But these are only shoes I wore in the past two days, so it has to be them. Order up a size if one or both of your feet are a little bigger even if not a total half size bigger.

Pros: style, comfort, heel (rubber pads too), color (Ice is a beautiful faint gray), and design! Much easier to walk in than I expected! Cons: fit, super tight in the toebox; circumference, very wide so you can only tighten by wrapping laces as shown instead of relacing the boot; material, leather might crinkle and wrinkle with the style of laces. I give this boot a B+. I also agree with Lindsey about availability of sizes - would have bought the black too if 6 didn't disappear so quickly!
