about patent shoes - HIDE
If you're the kind of girl who loves all things shiny, patent leather shoes may be just what you need.

Available in a variety of structures, patent leather shoes are created from leather that has been given a high-gloss finish. The process was developed in the early 1800s using an oil-based lacquer, although modern patent leather shoes usually have a plastic coating.

The sleek shine of patent leather shoes pairs well with tuxedos and the like during formal occasions. With their expanding range of styles, however, patent leather shoes are no longer restricted to black tie affairs. Gleaming patent leather shoes in the form of boots or chunky heels go great with jeans and other informal apparel. The Exchange by Charles David Brunch, for example, combines its glossy patent leather upper with a casual stacked wooden heel.

While the luster of patent leather shoes may not be ideal for every occasion, they certainly deserve a place in every woman's wardrobe. Browse Solestruck's many styles of patent leather shoes and add a little polish to your fashion arsenal.

About Solestruck Vintage

Each pair of SOLESTRUCK VINTAGE shoes has been specially handpicked by one of our buyers for its unique style and quality. We loved these shoes and we hope you do too.

Things to keep in mind when buying Vintage...

Please carefully review the sizing and insole measurements listed. When in doubt, order up as Vintage items in general run narrow and/or small. For the most part, Solestruck Vintage Items have been previous worn and show noticeable signs age as well as wear and tear. This is part of the charm and we do our best to accurately show and describe the condition of the shoe.

If you have any questions at all about a certain style, please email us at customerservice@solestruck.com and we will happily assist you and provide any additional information to help you make an informed decision.

How we rate condition...

Great means the item has either never been worn, or previously worn but with minimal flaws (but still possibly noticeable).

Good means it has noted flaws but is in overall decent vintage condition. This includes minor stains, scuff marks, and/or tears.

Fair/poor means it has noted serious flaws, such as stains, scuffs or more extreme wear but is still wearable and/or easily fixed.
